Our Story

Alii! Hello! We are super grateful you are here.

A little bit about Maddluc.. in November of 2020, after being home for so many months thanks to the pandemic, my kids and I were trying to figure out what we could create for fun. My then 5-year old asked, "Momma, can you make me a Palauan doll?"

Immediately after he asked, a whole universe of creative burst exploded within me, and right away I ordered a sewing machine and hopped on the internet to figure out how I could make a doll. We posted our first doll, which we were really excited about, but did not expect anyone else to want one. Suddenly, I was receiving messages on my Instagram asking for one. In essence, we accidentally started a business. Since then, we have made countless dolls, and have many more on our list. Our goal is to create dolls that represent who we are as a people, share what our ancestors passed down onto us and preserve the stories that make us who we are.

The dolls have continuously inspired new ideas, which we are working hard on. By we, I mean, a team of one momma maker, and three cheerleaders in the form of my two sons and husband. We are excited to share our stories as we create them. Ke kmal mesulang.
